Cautionary Statement

All household and industrial chemicals and solvent based products should be treated as potentially hazardous, whether they are labeled so or not.  Deliberate misuse of inhalation of vapours of products containing solvents without adequate ventilation, may cause eye watering, fatigue, nausea, headaches or dizziness.

 

Solvent-based Products

Materials used for the manufacture of these products are essentially hazardous (contains solvents)

Always keep product out of reach of children and animals.

Store in a cool, dry place 8°C – 25°C away from heat, flames and sparks.

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying and do not smoke whilst applying this product.

Use caution when opening. Due to variations in temperature, the contents of the container may be under pressure. Close container after each use and check for leaks.

Brushes and rollers soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, clean brushes and rollers or place in sealed containers filled with water.

 

First Aid Measures

Eye contact – take care to avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water (15 minutes) and seek medical advice.

Skin contact – if accidental contact with skin should occur, wash the area immediately with warm, soapy water or with a recognized skin cleaner.

Ingestion (Accidental Swallowing) – harmful if swallowed. Drink 3-5 glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately or call your local Poison Information Centre

Inhalation – do not inhale solvent fumes. Always work in a well ventilated area.

 

Transportation

This product is classified as Dangerous Goods by Dangerous Goods Code for Transport by Road or Rail.

Care must be taken to secure product during transportation to avoid spillages.

 

Accidental Spillages

Prevent run off into drains and waterways. Use absorbent soil or sand, inert material. Collect in container for disposal.

Disposal recommendation – do not pour left over product down drains. Unwanted product should be disposed of by a Waste Company. Advice product is of a flammable nature.

 

Fire Fighting Measures

Specific HazardsFlammable liquid – extinguish with foam, dry agent (carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder).

 

Ecological Measures

Avoid contaminating drains, sewers, rivers, etc.
